AO & EO Civil Service Interview & Application Coaching

Applying for an Administrative Officer (AO) or Executive Officer (EO) role means facing a structured, behaviours-based interview — and knowing the format isn’t the same as knowing how to perform well in it.

At Interview Foundry, we help AO and EO candidates prepare with confidence through:

Behaviours Breakdown — understand exactly what assessors are listening for in each Success Profiles behaviour, and how to structure answers that demonstrate them clearly

• Mock Interview Practice — realistic, one-to-one sessions that mirror the real format, with direct feedback on your answers

• Strengths-Based Question Prep — many AO/EO interviews blend behaviours with strengths-based elements; we help you prepare for both

Confidence Coaching — practical techniques to manage interview nerves and present your best self on the day

1:1 - Interview Coaching - Civil Service

No two candidates walk into an interview with the same experience and skills — so no two coaching sessions look the same.

Step 1 — Tailored Preparation

You send over the role details, behaviours, and criteria, along with your CV and experience. This forms the basis for fully tailored prep materials built around what your assessors will be scoring.

Step 2 — Coaching Session

We work through your answers together, refining their structure and content so each response clearly demonstrates the right evidence against the civil service scoring criteria. The focus is on precision — making sure every point you make counts toward a strong score.

Step 3 — Mock Interview

A full run-through of realistic interview questions in a live, panel-style setting, so you experience the pace and pressure of the real thing before the day itself. You’ll practise delivering your answers naturally and confidently, receive real-time feedback on delivery and structure, and leave with a clear sense of what’s working and what still needs sharpening.

Throughout, you’ll receive honest, tailored feedback, with follow-up notes and recordings of each session so you can reflect and keep improving.

Application Coaching - Civil Service

I’ll work with you to put together a competitive application that gives you the best chance of reaching interview.

Step 1. Role & Criteria Review

I review the full job advert, essential criteria, and required behaviours for your specific role and grade — so we know exactly what’s being assessed and at what level.

Step 2. Finding Your Strongest Examples

Together, we identify the best evidence from your experience for your personal statement and/or Success Profiles behaviours — matched to what assessors are scoring for.

Step 3. Review & Refine

I review and edit your draft against civil service scoring criteria, sharpening your examples and language so they clearly evidence the level required.

Step 4. Tailored to You

Every application is tailored to the specific role, grade, and department — not a generic template
